Thanks to funding provided by the John and James L. Knight Foundation, the University of Wynwood hosts at minimum two visiting poets a year to give readings, workshops, and lectures within Miami-Dade County. Our hope is that each poet's visit will invigorate his or her practice and in turn provide an opportunity for Miami's writers, artists, and thinkers to engage a colleague with a different set of reference points, inspirations, and processes.

Though each visit will be unique, visiting poets will typically give a public reading, in addition to holding a one-day workshop. Participation in the workshops is strictly limited to members of the Lady Python Nation. Fill out our invitation form if you're interested in participating in future workshops.
